A Few More Things I've Built

A rollup of minor utilities, infrastructure projects, and side experiments — from in-memory PDF merging to multi-cloud orchestration and MCP bridges.

Sometimes a project doesn’t need to be a massive orchestration engine or a complex mathematical model. Here are a few standalone utilities, infrastructure deployments, and integrations that solve specific problems.

Multi-Cloud & Compute Orchestration

I orchestrate and manage infrastructure across major clouds (AWS, GCP, Azure) entirely from a terminal. Cost and blast-radius guardrails are treated as preconditions, not retrospective dashboard checks: budgets, billing alarms, and least-privilege scoping go up alongside resources. I also unified the hosted-compute layer (Colab, Kaggle, Lightning AI) so workloads can chunk, checkpoint, and dynamically resume across providers if preempted or priced out.

MCP Server Infrastructure

I deployed a fleet of Model Context Protocol (MCP) servers behind HTTPS/Nginx:

  • Schwab MCP Server: Streams live Level 1 quotes and candles from a WebSocket API into MCP clients with in-memory buffering.
  • Databento MCP: A self-hosted service exposing institutional market data over SSE/stdio.
  • Data Fleet: Provisioned Alpaca, EODHD, FRED, Data.gov, and Polymarket servers through a single declarative script.

Maestro (Audio Transcription)

An end-to-end audio processing CLI (built with Rich) that standardizes audio to 48 kHz and transcribes it to MIDI utilizing Spotify’s Basic Pitch via ONNX. I resolved undocumented dependency conflicts by implementing strict, reproducible installation workflows bypassing standard resolvers, and exposed the capabilities to AI agents via MCP.

Desktop App Integrations (FreeCAD & MuseScore)

  • FreeCAD MCP Server: Bridged autonomous AI agents directly to FreeCAD via a dual-mode transport layer supporting headless FreeCADCmd execution and live GUI integration, backed by a strict byte-identical communication protocol.
  • MuseScore MCP Server: Engineered a two-way bridge for MuseScore Studio using a custom QML plugin and a Python WebSocket server, allowing agents to dynamically edit live musical scores using high-level tools.

EasyPDFMerger

A lightweight, dual-interface Python utility for in-memory PDF merging that stages files without writing to disk. It features both a standalone Flask web application and an interactive ipywidgets dashboard rendered seamlessly via Voila.

StockOracle

A walk-forward backtesting harness for forecast evaluation. Instead of waiting for a fixed test window to end, it maintains a live accuracy scorecard that tracks predictive performance dynamically as new data arrives.
