A systemd monitoring daemon that polls social feeds, evaluates sentiment using Gemini 3.5 Flash, and checks impacts against live global market contexts.

Some social media posts move markets within minutes; most don’t. Telling the difference by hand, in real time, isn’t realistic. TruthMonitor is an end-to-end monitoring daemon that watches social feeds, caches posts in SQLite, and computes real-time sentiment and volatility analysis using the official google-genai SDK (gemini-3.5-flash).

Evaluating Market Context

An alarming sentiment means something different during a calm market than a chaotic one. To account for this, TruthMonitor incorporates an automated market context pipeline.

It refreshes global index snapshots (SPX, VIX, bond yields, crypto) every 15 minutes using Google Search Grounding. This guarantees the LLM evaluates the impact of a post against live macroeconomic realities, not stale context.

Reliable Infrastructure

This isn’t a script you run manually; it’s deployed as a robust Linux systemd service behind an Nginx reverse proxy. Once a signal is generated, it fans out across the necessary channels:

  • A webhook for downstream software integration.
  • Telegram notifications for immediate mobile alerts.
  • A RESTful FastAPI interface for external querying.
